Frequently Asked Questions
Where will the symposium take place?
The events and exhibitions take place in the main building of the Stella Vorarlberg Private University of Music and the “Pförtnerhaus”. In addition, events will take place in the “Altes Hallenbad” opposite the university.
In which language will the events take place?
The workshops and seminars will be held in English.
Who is the symposium for?
For all those who are interested in the harp! The concerts are stylistically broad and offer something for every taste. Masterclasses, workshops and seminars impart knowledge and skills, especially to students and teachers. In the exhibition rooms, harps can be tried out and compared. During the lunch break, you can exchange ideas and make contacts in peace. And if you need a break from so many harps, you can be in the city centre in a few minutes.
When can I buy tickets?
The start of advance sales is planned for the end of November. Group and individual tickets will be offered for the entire duration of the symposium. An early bird discount applies until December 31, 2024. In addition, there is a concert subscription and concert tickets subject to availability on the day of the concert.
What about accommodation and meals?
The symposium does NOT organize overnight stays. In the Stella Private University of Music, the bistro is open for lunch. In addition, numerous restaurants are within a few minutes’ walk.
How can I participate in the Masterclasses?
In addition to the concerts, the masterclasses are among the major events of the symposium. To be taught by one of our stars, you have to apply for it and pass a pre-selection. The masterclasses are open to the public and can be attended by all holders of a single or group ticket.

I would like to buy a ticket for the symposium now, but I also want to apply for the “Stars of tomorrow” concert series. What happens if I get a place?
If you buy a single ticket (Early Bird or Normal Price) and get a spot in the “Stars of tomorrow” concert series or take part in the Masterclasses, you will get the ticket price back. Anyone who purchases a group ticket is not entitled to a refund.
What kind of videos do I have to submit for “Stars of tomorrow”?
In order to complete the application, you have to upload two videos in addition to your CV, the programme proposal and the two photos.
Each video should contain a piece of the proposed programme, which has been self-interpreted, unedited, uncut and unabridged uploaded to one of the common video portals (YouTube or similar). The pieces can be entire works, but also individual movements. Links to the videos are sufficient for the application. When applying, please make sure that the Commission can also open the links (especially for videos that are not listed).
