Adrian Nowak started learning the harp at age 18 under the guidance of Podkarpacka Philharmonic harpist Joanna Supranowicz. He studied with Florence Sitruk and Irena Czubek-Davidson at the Cracow Academy of Music, graduating with an honours MMus degree in 2019. He developed his skills with Margit-Anna Süß-Schellenberger at the Universität für Musik und darstellende Kunst in Graz (Austria) and at the Hochschule für Musik ‘Hanns Eisler’ in Berlin (Germany). Since 2023, he has taught at the Krzysztof Penderecki Academy of Music in Cracow, where he obtained a DMA doctoral degree in 2024. His academic and artistic work focuses on the role of the harp in chamber music groups. His doctoral thesis is entitled ‘Chamber music for harp, flute and string trio inspired by the history of the Quintette Instrumental de Paris. Forgotten Pieces.

He has participated in numerous masterclasses and international projects, working, among others, under the guidance of Isabelle Moretti, Isabelle Perrin, and Arianna Savall. Since 2018, he has regularly studied and collaborated with Rita Costanzi, whose personality and interpretations have exerted a great impact on his artistic work and development.

Adrian Nowak has given performances at, among others, the new NOSPR venue, Lviv Opera and Lviv Organ Hall, as well as numerous festivals in Poland (Music on the Heights in Zakopane, Tyniec Chamber Music Recitals, Kraków Music Autumn) and abroad (Arpa GRAZiosa in Graz, Austria and Festival de Música de Santa Catarina in Jaraguá do Sul, Brazil). He has col- laborated with the Beethoven Academy Orchestra, Cracow Philharmonic, Capella Cracoviensis, Sinfonietta Cracovia, and the Brandenburgisches Staatsorchester Frankfurt, among others.

Co-founder and member of Cracow Harp Quintet and Mauris Ensemble, with which he focuses on exploring and promoting chamber music repertoire with harp. He regularly collaborates with Polish and foreign composers on the premieres of their solo, chamber, and orchestral works. He also performs Memoria Mea, a collection of his own harp minia- tures presented in solo and chamber versions. Apart from classical music, he is involved in varied projects including LIQUID (which combines improvised, electronic and experimental music performances with the savouring of natural wines).
